Presidents' greetings
Dear colleagues and friends,
Following the success of our previous congresses, pre-congress workshops will take place, aiming at the participants’ exposure to the practical applications of modern Laparoendoscopic Surgery in major educational subjects, such as Basic Laparoendoscopic Surgery techniques, Morbid Obesity, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Colon Surgery and Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (S.I.L.S). These seminars will take place not only in Athens but also in other leading centres of excellence in Thessalonica, Patras and Ioannina, thus giving them the opportunity to present their experience for the first time in our Congress.
Once more, the main topics of our congress focus on the current interests and needs of the Surgical community worldwide. They embrace favourable subjects such as Robotic Surgery, Morbid Obesity, Collaboration in Communication Networks in Laparoscopic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery of Solid Organs, Laparoscopic Colon Surgery and New Techniques & Methods in Laparoscopic Surgery.
The contribution of well renowned foreign speakers has become a tradition in the Panhellenic Congress of Laparoendoscopic Surgery. Pioneers in the laparoscopic surgical field will be sharing their opinions and practice in handling daily and extreme situations, aiming at providing the participants with the excerpt of their experience.
On behalf of the Hellenic Society of Endoscopic Surgery & Other Interventional Techniques, with a deep sense of duty towards the participating surgeons but first and foremost towards our patients, we feel very grateful and we thank all colleagues for their participation in our Congress.
The completion of this Congress is expected to unify the various surgical centres of our country in a common program of research, education and clinical support.
