The aims of HSES are the following:
The advancement of endoscopic surgery and other related interventional techniques in Greece through any available scientific mean.
The organization of meetings, congresses, postgraduate courses and various scientific communicational events, in a self-contained manner or in co-operation, with other Greek or foreign affiliated scientific societies.
The planning and enforcement of research that has to do with the scientific topics in which the society is active and specifically in those that have a national interest.
The collaboration with other Greek or foreign, same or affiliated scientific societies, medical associations and other Greek scientific associations.
The organization of Pan Hellenic or international congresses that are related to the society's purposes and the education of the general non-medical public, in the accomplishments and potential of endoscopic surgery and other interventional techniques.
The publication of the scientific journal "Hellenic Laparoendoscopic Surgery" in printed and electronic version.
